Leicester City v Aston Villa betting tips – back Villans for another win

Aston Villa are riding high in the Premier League and they look a big price to overcome Leicester City at the King Power Stadium

We’ve got ourselves a Midlands derby on Sunday evening, with Leicester City clashing with an Aston Villa team who currently boast a 100% record in the Premier League and that’s pretty staggering considering that Dean Smith’s side have faced Fulham, Sheffield United and Liverpool thus far.

The win against the latter was absolutely off the charts as the Villans ran riot against the English champions, with the visitors trading at a big price to now overcome a Leicester City team who started the season brightly before getting stung by West Ham before the international break.

Can Aston Villa Pick Up Where They Left Off?

Dean Smith will hope that his players return from the international break with their chests still puffing with pride, having witnessed that amazing 7-2 win over Liverpool and there were stellar performances from Tyrone Mings, Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins.

Indeed, the spine of the team looks pretty strong and Emiliano Martinez is a significant upgrade on the previous occupiers of the role, with Villa capable of delivering an attacking performance and attacking with plenty of menace.

Watkins’ hat-trick against Liverpool announced the former Brentford striker on the big stage, while Barkley looks to be a brilliant snip on the loan market and the form of Grealish has been superlative, with the visitors sure to create a few problems.

Leicester Looking to Bounce Back from Hammering

Few expected Leicester City to be battered at home to West Ham, with Brendan Rodgers delivering a sobering verdict after his team failed to turn up against a vibrant Hammers team, with Wilfried Ndidi’s absence being keenly-felt, while Calgar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey also not available.

Jamie Vardy has plenty of goals on the board although only one of those goals has come from open play, while Harvey Barnes is the other shining light in attack although Dennis Praet is missing in that attacking midfield position.

What Are the Best Betting Predictions?

We think this could be the time to jump on Aston Villa until the bookies realise that they have drastically improved in every department. There was lots of defensive solidity after lockdown which helped them avoid relegation, although the attacking cut and thrust now appears to be apparent.

We’re going to have a punt on Aston Villa at a big price and perhaps it will be a high-scoring encounter, with the 11/2 about a Villans win and both teams finding the net making plenty of appeal, with Leicester unlikely to draw a blank once again.
