Newcastle v Manchester United betting tips – oppose Red Devils again

It’s worth betting against Manchester United while the Red Devils continue to struggle, with Newcastle United a big price for this Premier League clash

The bookies might have witnessed Manchester United struggle badly in all three Premier League games played to date, although it hasn’t stopped them making the Red Devils strong favourites to win at St James’ Park on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are as short as 8/13 with some bookies to claim three points, while Newcastle United are priced as big as 17/4 to claim what would be their third victory of the Premier League season to date.

Why Are Manchester United Short to Beat Magpies?

The bookies don’t tend to get caught out with their prices for Premier League matches although we can’t help but think that the odds are not correct for this game. After all, United’s only win of the EPL 2020-21 season came at Brighton and the visitors were lucky to land a 3-2 win at the AMEX Stadium.

Either side of that game has been home reverses against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, with Harry Maguire having a difficult time of things and the central defender was sent off on England duty on Wednesday after some poor displays at club level.

The bookmakers are probably taking the view that a lot of punters will want to back Manchester United and expect them to come good eventually, with Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and the recent acquired Edinson Cavani able to provide goals.

Can Newcastle Kick On From Solid Start to Season?

Steve Bruce will be happy enough to have seven points on the board before the international break, with Newcastle landing a 2-0 win at West Ham and a 3-1 victory over Burnley. In between came a 3-0 home reverse against Brighton and a 1-1 draw at Tottenham, with the Magpies looking to kick on with their clash against opponents that they always enjoy beating.

Callum Wilson looks to have been a shrewd piece of business and the performance of Allan Saint-Maximin in the match against the Clarets means that Newcastle can pose a few problems against a defence which have conceded eleven goals in their first three games of the season.

What Are the Best Betting Predictions?

We’re pretty sweet on getting with Newcastle United considering that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is struggling to get a tune out of the Red Devils this season. Saint-Maximin could be lively and quick against a dodgy defence, with the Frenchman looking like a good bet at 5/1 on the Anytime Scorer betting market.

We’re also going to side with the home side on the Asian Handicap betting market, with Jamal Lewis and Ryan Fraser arriving during the transfer window and sure to make an impact, while Andy Carroll could be a handful for the opposition.
