Manchester United and Chelsea Both 20/1 for Champions League After Huge Wins

Red Devils still available at a massive price to win 2020/21 Champions League despite beating Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, with Chelsea also looking strong under Frank Lampard.

We’ve now had two rounds of Champions League group stage matches, with certain teams enjoying a strong start to their European Cup campaign and that includes Manchester United who have recorded successive wins against Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig despite actually struggling from a domestic point-of-view.

Perhaps the Red Devils are now getting back to full fitness although punters can still back Manchester United at 20/1 to win the 2020/21 Champions League and they appear to be very much a team who can thrive in a cup competition, with the north-west giant recently thrashing Leipzig by a 5-0 scoreline.

Can Manchester United Go All the Way?

It almost seems ridiculous to ask whether United are capable of winning this season’s European Cup when you consider the dog’s dinner of a performance that has been served up by the team on numerous occasions this term, although it appears that there have been mitigating circumstances for some of the more insipid displays.

Manchester United are priced at 20/1 to win the Champions League this season and they’re now blowing hot instead of cold under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Norwegian starting to get players such as Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood firing, with Marcus Rashford also scoring plenty of goals.

We think this could be a big price considering that United look nailed to go through to the last sixteen stage and they should be able to generate additional points against Istanbul Basaksehir while PSG and Leipzig are battling it out for points in their double header.

Chelsea Also Trading at 20/1 Despite 4-0 Thrashing

Frank Lampard has started to get defensive things right on the pitch due to plenty of work on the training ground and it will have been especially encouraging that Chelsea were able to record a 4-0 victory away to Krasnodar despite Thiago Silva being rested for this trip to Russia.

Lampard will not want to rely on any single defensive or attacking player in order to land results, with Chelsea having shown plenty of attacking ability and the fact that Lyon and Leipzig were able to go deep in the competition last term suggests that Chelsea have the ability to do something similar.

Who are the Champions League Favourites?

Bayern Munich are regarded as the team to beat and this was certainly the case last season when Hansi Flick’s side were able to pass all their examinations in order to claim the European Cup, while Manchester City and Liverpool are the other teams trading at single figure odds and they look capable of going deep in the competition.

PSG, Barcelona and Juventus come next in the betting, although none of these sides have looked particularly convincing so far and this strangest of seasons has the potential to yield an unpredictable result.
